Welcome to The Woodlands Performing Arts Academy, where we offer comprehensive music education for students from early childhood to senior adults. Our programming emphasizes healthy techniques and skills to learn music and drama in a fun way. Under the direction of a master teacher, the academy presents the finest in music arts education. We enhance the enjoyment of the arts one student at a time!
Students learn through their experience with the academy skills such as:
Our Young Musicians Workshop and chamber music programs sponsor camps, master classes, workshops, and performances at the academy and in outreach to communities with talented students but without the necessary resources. Young students may also perform in Madrigalia in order to bolster their choral music skills. Many of our students achieve top scholarships and win major competitions from local to international levels.
Students pursuing advanced education and a career either in the arts or other career paths are well-prepared for college, auditions, and professional presentations.
We seek to instill enjoyment and appreciation for music and the arts, as well as cognitive and leadership skills for a lifetime.
Mary Loy is a master teacher and longtime arts advocate with background as a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, and music and artistic director for various companies.
She instills healthy techniques and builds self-confidence in all ages, early childhood to adults. Mary teaches piano, voice, music theory, and acting.
Education includes The Juilliard School and Louisiana State University.

Director of Collaborative Music
Lucas Fisher is an instructor of private voice, brass, strings, guitar and keyboard who emboldens his students not only to grow as musicians, but as people. His students perform classical, jazz, and contemporary styles Bach to Rock.
After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Lucas earned an Associate of Arts in Music at Central Texas College in 2021 and has studied with private accredited instructors. Lucas is a recipient of the Patrick Gilmore Award and was selected for SCMEA Honor Band and TMEA Two-Year College All-State Choir. Currently, he is pursuing a Music Therapy degree at Sam Houston State University.
Riley is a senior at Sam Houston State University in Vocal Performance wtih a Business minor. She loves performing and teaching. Riley oversees Music Theory camps and is assistant director of chamber music.
