Welcome to The Woodlands Performing Arts Academy, where we offer comprehensive music education for students from early childhood to senior adults. Our programming emphasizes health techniques and skills in order to learn music and theatre arts in a fun way. With guidance from one of our master teachers, the academy presents the finest in music arts education. We enhance the enjoyment of the arts one student at a time!
Students learn through their experience with the academy skills such as:
Our Young Musicians Workshop and chamber music programs sponsor summer camps, master classes, workshops, and performances at the academy and in outreach to communities with talented students but without the necessary resources. Young students may also perform in Madrigalia in order to bolster their choral music skills. Many of our students achieve top scholarships and win major competitions from local to international levels.
Students pursuing advanced education and a career either in the arts or other career paths are well-prepared for college, auditions, and professional presentations. We seek to instill a lifetime of enjoyment and appreciate for music and the arts, as well as skills that will follow them wherever they go.
Mary Loy is a Master Teacher of piano, voice, music theory, and acting and a longtime arts education advocate. She has served as a collaborative accompanist, vocal coach, music director, and artistic director for prestigious theatre and opera companies.
Education includes The Juilliard School and Louisiana State University.

She strongly believes that everyone can learn healthy techniques in music and theatre and develop self-confidence. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, she urges you to explore music with her!
Lucas Fisher teaches private voice, brass, strings, guitar and keyboard. Lucas emboldens his students not only to grow as musicians, but as people. His students have performed at local venues and Bach to Rock music school events. He has 20 years of learning, performing and teaching in classical, jazz and contemporary styles.

Lucas Fisher teaches private voice, brass, strings, guitar and keyboard. Lucas emboldens his students not only to grow as musicians, but as people. His students have performed at local venues and Bach to Rock music school events. He has 20 years of learning, performing and teaching in classical, jazz and contemporary styles.
After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Lucas earned an Associate of Arts in Music at Central Texas College in 2021 and has studied with private accredited instructors. Lucas is a recipient of the Patrick Gilmore Award and was selected for SCMEA Honor Band and TMEA Two-Year College All-State Choir. Currently, Lucas is pursuing a degree in Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University.
Riley is a junior at Sam Houston State University in Vocal Performance. She loves performing and teaching and runs Music Theory camps.
